Technical Print Information

Lasts for centuries

The unique prints on this site are individually printed with the latest in inkjet technology, producing extremely high quality prints with an archivability that far extends ordinary photographs.
The exact process we follow guarantees a print that will not fade for up to 200 years in a normal display environment.
This is a most recent printing technology that was not available to us before the year 2000.

High quality paper
Each print is printed on a 329mm x 483mm (13" x 19") matte 192g/m² weight bright white paper ensuring a reflection free, clear print.
The actual printed area is approximately 200mm x 280mm (8" x 11") and is centered on the paper.

Before shipping the prints are handled with cotton gloves to avoid inadvertent fingerprinting or smudging. For a crisp, clean print, please handle carefully when you extract your print from the shipping tube.

Ready for your personal touch
The prints are ready for matting and framing to your own personal design preferences and specifications.

The design with the broad white border also allows each print to be readily fitted, without matting, in commercially widely available frames.

Named, numbered and signed
Each print displays the number and the title of the print. Print titles are individually hand printed in pencil below the lower left printed area.

All prints are signed by the photographer, in pencil, below the lower right printed area.

Homogeneous colour tint
Each original photograph has been separately mastered personally by the photographer in order to present a homogeneous series of prints. An identical brownish tint has been applied to all photographs. This allows for a unique opportunity to mix your own series to your own inclination and still be able to display a consistent series.

Light and colour
Please be advised that the actual colour of your print may be slightly different from that displayed on your monitor since all monitors do not render colours exactly as those of the actual print.

It may be interesting to know that the light temperature where your print is finally displayed will impact the colour as perceived by the human eye. The cold light of daylight and flourescent light will result in a print that seems colder to the eye. The prints are specifically designed for the most common warmer "lightbulb" light found in most display situations.
