Camera Museum in Strömsbruk
he camera Museum in Strömsbruk opened in the summer of 2006.
Hundreds of popular cameras from the 18 and 1900s are exhibited.
Ströms Bruk's connection to photographic history is strong. For nearly forty years the little community supplied a large part of the paper base used in photo paper around the world.(se History 3).
Today the former mill office pays homage to photography. In conjunction with the museum photographic art and photographic history are also presented.
The annual photo exhibition has now grown to include a permanent photo gallery offering everything from postcards to framed works.
During 2008 the Camera Museum will expand even further. Thanks to generous private donations we will be presenting unique equipment from Kodak and much more.
The Camera Museum is a pleasant visit for all. Photo enthusiasts can always find something interesting and for those less knowledgeable there is plenty of easy-to-understand information.
